The Junction Dance Festival is back for 2026.
This July, TJDF brings artists, audiences, movers, and community members together for a week of performances, workshops, and dance events throughout the Upper Valley.
The Junction Dance Festival’s fifth year begins with a Kickoff Party on Friday, July 10, followed by two community-centered dance events: TJDF Norwich Community Dance Day on Saturday, July 11, and TJDF Thetford Community Dance Day on Sunday, July 12. These events will invite community members of all ages and experience levels to engage with dance through free workshops, classes, performances, and shared movement experiences.
All workshops and community events are free to attend. Tickets are required only for the TJDF Main Showcase, which will take place on Saturday, July 18, at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, with performances at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The showcase will feature a dynamic lineup of dance artists and choreographers representing a range of styles and perspectives from across New England.
Additional workshops, participating artists, and festival programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Junction Dance Festival is a nonprofit organization supported in part by grants and community support, including support from the Vermont Arts Council and The Dorothy Byrne Foundation. Founded to support dance in Vermont and the Upper Valley, The Junction Dance Festival provides opportunities for artists to present work, connect with audiences, and contribute to a growing regional dance community.
